As you may have heard, Dick Bulger was involved in an incident at the Dorchester Olive Garden on November 8th, 2023. Campaign management has the following statement, which will be our last on this unfortunate matter:
“Dick Bulger out of Boston has been campaigning relentlessly at bars, taverns and package stores across Boston. This takes a significant emotional and physical toll. Dick had not slept in two days when the incident at the Olive Garden occurred, and he has no memory. Dick had consumed just one alcoholic beverage, contrary to reports that he was funneling behind the bar before the bread sticks incident”.
Our friends at Olive Garden have been supportive and understanding, and Olive Garden Executive Chef Giovanni Bucatini released this statement, which with company permission will be included here:
“Dick Bulger is a true friend of the Olive Garden. We understand the stress a campaign would cause an individual. The family who witnessed the alleged incident where Dick shoved a whole basket of our famous bread sticks up his ass have decided not to press charges. Dick has not been trespassed or banned from our establishment, as some reports have suggested. To the contrary, Dick is a beloved fixture at our fine dining establishment, and we consider the issue resolved.”
